Berlin ASA 1965-1968

The United States Army Security Agency patch at left was one of the original ones given me when I entered West Berlin in January, 1965. The photographs shown on the following pages are about one-tenth of the ones I shot while in Berlin. My years in Berlin were a life changing experience for me. The friends I made there helped me through three difficult years of adjusting to a foreign country, loneliness, and completing our mission in Berlin. The photos of locales in Berlin, and a few outside of Berlin contain some of those friends. I will remember all of you forever, and will never forget the ASA in Berlin. | Photographer PapaJoe June, 2001 | |||||||||||||||
__________________________________________ Due to the web site loading process of photographs and text this whole tour takes approximately 1 1/2 hours. If you get blank windows, and all photos do not load on any one page simply click on your "Refresh" button on the top tool bar. It takes a few minutes. So, ladies and gentlemen, grab a cup of coffee or a brew, put on your favorite CD or tape, sit back, relax, and remember your days with the ASA in West Berlin along with me. If you were not in ASA, no matter, everyone welcome! Thank your God and the military the war is over! _________________________________________
